...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Florida, including the following
counties, Charlotte and Lee.

* WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 656 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Buckingham, Olga, Charleston Park,
Southwest Florida Airport, Alva, Gateway and Fort Myers
Shores.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

knots and seas 4 to 7 feet expected.

* WHERE...Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island Sound, Coastal waters
from Bonita Beach to Englewood FL out 20 NM and Waters from
Bonita Beach to Englewood FL out 20 to 60 NM.

* WHEN...From 2 PM Tuesday to 2 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
